Meet Dr. Merilynn Yamada
Dr. Merilynn Yamada creates smiles that enhance her patients’ lives through esthetics, function, and comfort. A certified orthodontic specialist, she also has extensive training in dental and smile esthetics, bite comfort/function, TMJ and multidisciplinary treatment.
Founder of Buena Vista Orthodontics — voted Burbank’s Best Orthodontist many years — she graduated with top honors from UCLA and UCSF. In 2016, she opened Los Feliz Orthodontics in her childhood neighborhood, reconnecting with the community where she grew up.
Known for advanced technology and precise, patient-centered care, she is trusted by colleagues and patients alike.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys film, art, reading, writing, home projects, family time, three cats, four turtles, and cheering on the L.A. Kings. Go Kings Go!
Clinician, Teacher & Volunteer
In addition to private practice, Dr. Yamada has volunteered her orthodontic expertise at the Kids Community Clinic in Burbank doing orthodontic treatment for children in need for over 25 years. A former faculty member at the UCLA School of in Clinical Orthodontics, she currently gives lectures to dentists on Current and State-of-the-Art Concepts in Clinical Orthodontics.
